Additionally, I delight in the beauty of the sea at Kilkee, and am awed that all elements of the natural world concur in generation and conservation.<\/p>\n<p>The renowned astrophysicist Arthur Eddington, who confirmed Einstein\u2019s special theory of relativity on the effect of gravity on light, provides a mathematical and poetic model of the generation of waves by wind. These findings are to be found in chapter 15 of his book <em>The Nature of the Physical World<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Mathematical model in part reads:<\/p>\n<p>&#8230; Maintenance against viscosity, by suitable forces applied to the surface.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026Thus we find where <em>\u03c3<\/em><sup>2<\/sup> has been written for <em>gk<\/em> + <em>T\u2032k<\/em><sup>3<\/sup> as before.\u2026<\/p>\n<p>a wind of less than half a mile an hour will leave the surface unruffled. ..&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The poetic model is from Rupert Brooks poem: \u2018The Dead\u2019 and reads in part:<\/p>\n<p><em>There are waters blown by changing winds to laughter<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>And lit by the rich skies, all day.
